About Me
Word from the Author
No, I am not an internet billionaire, let alone a millionaire, at least not yet. I’m just a young recent college grad (as of 2007) trying to make a dollar out of two pennies. I’m a jack of all trades within the web industry and know a little to alot of everything regarding the web. Programming, Designing, Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Monetizing, Advertising, of course not in that particular order.
What I’m interested is in business management, development and strategy particulary in the field of new and emerging technology, mainly the “web”. Unfortunately the way the system is structured, most companies are reluctant, as it seems to me, in entrusting and/or taking a risk on an individual such as myself and the ones that do, don’t pay enough for me to cover my bills. I’m all for risk but only the calculated kind So as of right now, I’m blazing my own path there.
When I was in college, I mostly took classes that I found value in, regardless of what “major” it was for. While others were taking classes they didn’t like or preparing to lock themselves in a set career path. I opted to take the road not taken. So far, at least monetarily, it seems there’s a reason why it’s not taken.
My current career goal is to a big player in the online industry in due time. Internet billionaire, baby and even if things don’t go according to plan and I only achieve 1% of it, hey, that still a million - I’d also like to retire by 45 or least not be working for something where I’m something close to an indentured servant. Serfdom is not the Answer!
My Philosophy:
Work Smart, Find value, Try anything and everything by any means necessary, right now.
Favorite Quote and Life Mantras:
“Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.”
William Shakespeare
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson
“A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week.”
General George S. Patton
